What a day.

Heh. No drabbles the last couple of days...but the good news is that I've been working fairly steadily on the "You Got the Stones" challenge. Leave it to me to turn it into a morality lesson. [grin]

This time next week, I'll be tooling off to WriterCon with the lovely jerib_78. I've printed out "Chicken Soup," "Salvation," "Spark," and "Indispensable, Exquisite Cats" for the WriterCon Library, and I'm thinking about printing out a few of my better drabbles as well. Lots of nice short stuff that can be read without too much effort.

My poor husband. He gets home from work today after a three-day trip, goes out to the garage to work on his racecar motor, and then comes in to find me swearing at the printer, which is being mean to me. So, rather than watching the Grand Prix race I taped for him while he was gone, he takes the printer apart and finds out why the paper won't feed. Then I found out that my ink cartridge was nearly out, so he refilled that for me. He is such a sweetie. *smooch*

What is the Writercon library? And should I print out and bring some of my fics to include in it?

The library is for us to read each other's fics during downtime so we can get to know each other a bit better. And you should definitely print out some of your fics for it. :-)

Wee! What Workshop have you signed up for?

I signed up for "Write Yourself Out of This, Genius" in the Portable Writer's Salon. I'm not going to do an erotica workshop, because I don't see myself ever writing an explicit sex scene. I figure if I do ever want to write one, there's always next WriterCon. So, I'm thinking about going to see a Vegas show Saturday night instead.

I wanted to do that one, but I could only sign up on-site, since pre-registration was all filled, so I signed up for "Mary Who?"

I thought about that one, because my AU has so many original characters...but I've written myself into so many corners it's painful. So I thought the other would be better suited to me.

Word is that all the panels and workshops are going to be recorded, so even if we miss them, we'll still get copies. :-)
