Spamming LJ one post at a time...

You know, this writing thing would be a whole lot easier if I could just, you know, put "insert music montage here while characters do boring stuff that requires no dialogue" as an actual scene break.

That would be awesome.

Bwahahahaha! I love that idea :) You know, when I write, it's like a movie in my head. I see the scene, the people, I hear them speak, see what they see. Sometimes I think it tends to overwhelm me when I try to actually *write* it. It just never seems vivid enough. No, I know none of this makes sense, but I'm in a rambling mood :)

It makes perfect sense, because I do the same thing, only with the added "benefit" (if you can call it that when a character is having a panic attack or being injured somehow, which happens with depressing regularity in this thing) of feeling what they feel as well. And so right now I've got this vision in my head of a CSI:NY-style music montage where they're looking through microscopes and tapping on computers and having CAT scans and other medical-type exams and Janni's going home and getting clothes and stuff, but it's BORING and I don't have to give a blow-by-blow depiction of it, you know?

When you adapt it for the screenplay...

LOL I can hope...

I know what you mean. I find it so hard to get what I see and hear in my head down on paper. Sometimes I think I should try my hand at writing plays. =)
