DAMMIT.

You know, some internal consistency in this story might be nice.

I've established that the nanotech makes the recipients alternately exhausted and ravenous as it uses the body's resources to heal it. HOWEVER. I establish that in the second scene where they use it.

Do I have a graceful way of inserting it into the first scene?

Nooooooo.

CRAP.

Nevermind. I can do it by the simple expedient of them making a detour to the kitchen after not!Tony wakes up from, you know, being shot.

In other news, we're going to Vegas this weekend to watch an NHRA race, which should be fun and exciting, but this means I have tons of things to do today, including a visit to the bank, the comic store (new Spike, Solomon Kane, and Chuck comics today, woo!), and Target, for these:

Understand that I don't get shoe lust very often. I own something like...four? pairs of shoes (seriously--a pair of running shoes, a pair of hiking boots, and two pairs of dressy flats, one light and one dark), and have a philosophy that life is too short to don uncomfortable footwear.

But these...they just speak to me on some primal level. I have no idea where I'm going to wear such things, or even if I ever will, because I'm already ridiculously tall and they look terribly uncomfortable, but... DAMN. Must. Have.

Yeah, I don't know either.

LOL! Since I haven't been able to find shoes in my size that are "cute" for years, I've only recently tapped into shoe lust myself. And although I'm a "comfy" shoe kind of gal, I'm finding myself quickly becoming converted to pretty footwear. It's a very SLOW process mind you (because shoes in my size can be expensive and they're STILL hard to find in "cute" styles), but yeah. I have more shoes than I should I think. And Payless is feeding the addiction because they're now catering to my size with current trends. Yeah! ;)

Yay for them doing that! Really, I have no earthly idea where I'm going to wear these things, but I've ordered them, so I guess...I'll have them when I want them? Or something.

[identity profile] mermaidrain.livejournal.com 2008-10-30 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
But they're SO cute! LOL! ;)

[identity profile] agilebrit.livejournal.com 2008-10-30 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
I KNOW. And this is why I actually ordered them rather than going "Eh, missed that boat, no big."

I just hope they fit.

Payless does this thing where I can order the shoes in my size from their website (usually can't find them in the stores) and have them delivered to a store here for free. And if I try them on and they don't fit, I can return them to the store without having to pay postage. SO very cool. Does Target do something like that for you?

[identity profile] agilebrit.livejournal.com 2008-10-30 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
Alas, no. But they have a liberal return policy, so if they don't fit I'll be able to send them back or maybe return them to a store.

You know, if I'd been smart, I would have checked Walmart, because they have free site-to-store shipping on most things. Too late now. And I just checked, because I was morbidly curious, and they didn't have them.

I would assume with something that pretty that they'd be store specific. ;)

I always thought Mossimo was a national brand, but Walmart doesn't have ANY of their stuff.
