Specifically, the lovely and effulgent matociquala, that Algis Budrys has died. The SF world, and those of us who are regular entrants to Writers of the Future, will miss him. :(

Oh no... that's so sad! I always really enjoyed seeing him at cons and at the Symposium (he was a regular for several years). Although the best thing I ever saw him do was a dramatic reading of the Jabberwocky in Lithuanian (there were several authors participating in a variety of languages).
