In other news, I'm getting all sorts of very nice reviews for "Partners in Crime," my Kitten!Cuddler!JayneFic. And I'd love to write more Firefly fic. But alas, the only plot bunny I have is angsty!rape!fic (ugh, don't ask. Really)...which I would rather avoid writing, if it's all the same to everyone else.

So, anyone got any orphan Firefly plot bunnies in their hutches? I don't guarantee I'll actually do anything with them, but I'd love to write more Firefly fic, if I had a jumping-off point. Any characters, but I love Jayne and Kaylee best, and River too, because she reminds me of Dru. Only, you know, not evil.

the real story about why River stopped dancing when Book was shot even though she was all those miles away! A connection with Mal forged by her hyperactive senses and her connection to the ship he lives so much...I always wanted to write that story, but never got aroudn to it.

Kaylee and Mal, gen-ish... Mal's first intro to Kaylee was her on ehr back while she was having sex... given Mal's propensity to treat women with a certain amount of looking down on-ishness, how did she earn his respect. a vignette of her saving their asses or some such with her engineering skill would be cool.

Jayne showed us a moment of conscience in the aftermath of Jaynestown... what sent him realing back to his old ways. did he really think much in that moment, or did it pass him by.

Zoe/Wash - his proposal, her resistance... how did he break her down and what was their wedding like?

Kaylee and River... after the events of Ariel and then Objects in Space, did Kaylee ever hjave to face the fact that she was afraid of River and at least partially because she showed herself to be a coward in Ariel while River did not? Did Kaylee ever have a moment like that again with river elsewhere and not there to help her? Did any of the others ever learn the complete story about those moments and what was their reaction considering how vehemently kaylee denounced River? Would they see her as a coward? if not, why not?

I don't have much contact with this girl (looking at her interests will pretty much show why; it starts with anti-capitalist and goes from there -- she's 22 going on 14, and sounds like a Canadian Valley Girl). But she's taking a stab at learning Chinese:
