Okay, this [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecret right here:

Should not be as hilarious to me as it is. I'm so sorry, Brandon...

ETA: And there's me, getting pissy in the comments. I am so tired of entitled fanbrats. Hey, whiners: How about you write a multiple-hundreds-of-thousands-of-words, multi-book epic, before you decide that you can tell the pros how to do it better. Better yet, how about you just don't buy the series until it's done?

Son of ETA: And there are now spoilers in the comments on that thread at [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets, in case there are those of you out there avoiding such things.

Book 12 of Winston Churchill's 537-volume history of the Second World War, in which Neville Chamberlain decides on a new decor for his office, and Adolf Hitler goes to the dentist!

OMG - The Wheel of Time series. One of the biggest reading mistakes I ever made... like most sane people I had thought it would be maybe four or five books at the most. I plodded on with the series as it got longer and longer, getting increasingly frustrated with it, until it got to a point where to remember WTF was actually going on in the books I had to re-read the preceding ones in order to read a new one and it all became a completely pointless waste of my time.
The mass of books just became a burden on my bookshelf and I couldn't sell the bloody things - in the end I even trouble giving them away.

It's funny because truth is hilarious!
