Well, you know, there are automatic litter boxes available that do the work for you. You buy the clumping kitty litter, and there's a sensor that tells it when the cat gets in and out, and little rakes go across it and scoop the stuff into a baggie.

Or you can toilet train your cat. There's a kit and everything.

So, you're not necessarily doomed. You just have to get creative. :-)
