Meme-age from several folks on my flist:
When you see this, post a little weensy excerpt from as many random works-in-progress as you can find lying around. Who knows? Maybe inspiration will burst forth and do something, um, inspiration-y.
I've got four that don't have their own folders yet:
Books Gone Bad: Why would a blank book be chained to the shelf?
Giant Bugs: The meek had inherited the Earth with a vengeance.
Stuff That Thing: "You're awfully bossy for someone who's two inches tall," Nikki said.
"And you're awfully vapid for someone who's a junior in college," it shot back.
Texas Dragons: "A stranger from halfway across the world," Olwyn scoffed. She deepened her drawl just to annoy her mother, whom she knew looked down her nose at the local accent. "What, none of the local dragons were good enough for Daddy?"
And a couple that have ENDs at the bottom, but still need a lot of work:
Horse Needs Clothes: Lowering my head, I nudged my human body with my horse nose.
A&tS: He let out a wet cough, rolled his tongue out, and examined what was on it by dipping one eyestalk down before popping it back into his mouth. His tongue had suckers on the bottom of it.
