Isn't it odd how authors seem to just LOSE it over time? I can name several authors who used to be awesome, but are now considered to be merely "okay" or even "awful" (yes, Anne Rice, I'm looking at you, and your little dog Laurel K Hamilton, too). I guess it's hard to keep it fresh when you've written so much, especially so much in the same 'verse.

I hope my prose never goes stale. *cringe*
