My husband and I were just discussing how strong this series continues to be. We decided it was our favorite show to watch together. It's currently the only series on television that we don't miss. (We love our science fiction shows, too, but we can catch them in reruns.) The characters are intriguing and interesting, and we've seen some real evolvement. Like George R. R. Martin's characters, I find myself drawn to the ones I previously despised.
We were concerned that the show couldn't keep its momentum and continue growing the storyline, but they've done a wonderful job juggling all the characters and keeping a plot. I read somewhere that they have a story arc planned for five years, so there is some planning going on.
I love how Mrs. Bennet is shown in the season finale to be much more than a dumb blonde. It was a relief to know that she is much stronger and smarter than they gave her credit for initially. I like how Mr. Bennet has evolved from scary bad guy to loving family man. I'm glad to see Nathan Petrelli isn't the total jerk he appeared to be.
However... Having been a part of strangers being united as family, I have to say the Nathan/Claire hug was unrealistic. Claire has a family she loves, and a father who loves her. She may have been curious about her birth father, but knowing that he didn't really want to be a part of her life, I don't think she is going to end up in his arms for a hug. Ick.
Claire should have realized Dead Peter could be revived earlier than she did.
As for Micah, I'm betting the kid is way smarter than we think. He knows about his mother. I wouldn't be surprised if he saw through Shapeshifter, too. And won't I enjoy it, when the evil Shapeshifter gets a date with Sylar. Oh, please.
Mrs. Petrelli--what other secrets does she have? What power does she have? I thought she was going to show us when she stood up and smoothed down her skirt. I am thinking that she may be one of Linderman's old cronies he was talking about that went off chasing money.
I'm glad they didn't kill off Mohinder. They had me worried for awhile. He frustrates me by being slow on the uptake--isn't he supposed to be brilliant? His character can be improved. IT BOGGLES THE MIND: Mohinder can take the time to make certain the "list" is destroyed and drag a dead body out of the apartment, but he can't take a few moments to bludgeon Sylar? Then cut him into little pieces? Then flush part of them down the toilet, burn some in the fireplace, and put the rest down the garbage disposal? Hey, I've watched enough shows that I'm not taking any chances with a psychopath!
I adore Hiro. I loved the reunion with Ando.
I accepted the deaths of Simone, Isaac, and Eden, but I still have hope Hiro can somehow save Charlie. I loved her character, and she and Hiro were so cute together.
So where is Mr. Muggles now, and where is poor Mrs. Bennet? That poor woman has been through so much. They better not hurt her! Her character just got interesting to me.

And, ooo, that Sylar is creepy!
