So, I get up this morning...

...and open the door to Da Boy's room.

He's sitting on his bed, reading "Where's My Cow?" Out loud. *hearts*

Understand, of course, that he isn't actually reading it, per se. He has it memorized. Now, if he'd just put together the words on the page and the words in his head...

In other news, I've just about beaten the A&tS story into as much shape as possible. I may or may not run it by the Hubby before I run it to the PO tomorrow, and I'm definitely going to wait for more feedback (if any) before I finalize the thing. MANY THANKS TO THE GOOD FOLKS ON MY CONCRIT LIST, AS WELL AS MY (PUBLISHED) MOM, FOR HELPING IT NOT SUCK. You guys rock, seriously.

Mood is "cold" because I had to turn the frelling heater on. In June. *shakes fist at sky* It's less than 60 degrees outside right now.

All righty, then.

*firmly closes A&tS story window*

I was tempted to format it and print it out in preparation for sending it tomorrow, but a still, small voice in the back of my head keeps saying "Wait for the Hubby to come home tomorrow and run it by him first." I've learned that the little voice is wise, and so I shall listen.

At least it has a title now. I'm calling it "Sensory Overload."

Of course, that leaves me sitting here staring at a blank fic doc, with three and a half weeks until the deadline for the next quarter of Writers of the Future. None of the Plot Bunnies in the Hutch are hopping out to play. I may look at them again and possibly combine a couple of prompts to see what comes out.

Is anyone else having trouble getting comments via email? I know I've missed at least three just today.
