We now return you to your regularly scheduled whining about writing...

Actually, I'm not whining. For a change.

The Werewolf Fic is sitting at just under 4000 words. And I think I might wrap it up in the next thousand or so. I have a goal, plot-wise, to shoot for.

More news, as it develops...

More writing...

I've scribbled nearly 900 words so far today. It's thisclose to being done.

But is it bad that I'm yelling "It's the blood, you morons!" at my characters?

OMG FINALLY.

The Werewolf Fic has an "END" at the bottom of it.

Wordcount: 5065
Wordcount today: 1606

Personally, I think it has the lamest last line ever. I will probably endeavor to change it tomorrow after sleeping on it. I'll probably also endeavor to cut at least 65 words out so it falls under 5000.

That being said, I know the damb thing is short on description, which, argh, weak spot, smack me with a haddock. This is one of mine, so naturally the animals are described better than their human counterparts.

However, at least I was able to bring the funny--and possibly the cute--with the angst in this one (I think). A couple of things happened that I didn't plan for initially, and at first, I was all "No, I can't do that to them," and then I was all, "Ah, the hell with it, it's funnier this way." (If there's one thing fanfiction taught me, it's to hurt the characters.) Thus leading to the aforementioned lame-o last line instead of what I had planned after the OTHER thing I didn't see coming. I mean, if it had been Oz, then he could have just gone "Huh," and I could have ended it like that, but the character isn't especially laconic like that, so...bah.

Anyways. The Jazz game is over, they have emerged victorious (NOT IN OUR HOUSE, SUCKAS!!!), the Hubby long ago toddled off to bed because he had to get up at silly-o'clock this morning, and I have accomplished what I wanted to accomplish. *hugs flist* G'night, all!
