200 words today so far in the DragonFic. It's up to over 7200 now. F&SF will take anything up to 25,000 words, so I'm covered for at least one market, and WotF will take anything up to 17,000 words, so I can ship it off to them when I don't win this quarter. I hope it doesn't go over 10,000, really, I do. I never planned on anything this long.

In fact, my crew still has three days to go. At this point I'm about ready to say, screw it, I'm going back and fixing my timeline so they're nearly there, because right now, I've got nothin' as far as further complications go, other than my climactic space battle. Seeing as I've run out of ideas, getting this thing to a conclusion seems like a plan. Might not be a very good plan, but I think I may go with it anyhow.
