So. CONduit.
Thought I'd check out their website, since we only get three sci-fi Cons in Utah a year. And I found out that David Weber is the Guest of Honor (snerk) this year, which I'm sure will make several people on my flist squee and be jealous. Personally, I tried to like his writing, I really did...but I just couldn't get into it. Windrider's Oath, while it had an intriguing premise (the concept of zombie wolves just never gets old), was bogged down by having a page of exposition in the middle of conversations. It annoyed me, so I put the book down. The Honor Harrington books are okay, I suppose, but I just never could get very far past the first one.
That being said, I tried to see if they had a schedule up yet, but they don't. It's still way early (Con takes place over Memorial Day weekend), so I forgive that. I then toddled over to the forums, and what did mine eyes behold...?
WRITING PANELS GALORE.
( Under the cut, because, DUDE. )
Now, I'm fair certain that not all these panels will make the final cut, because there's a week's worth of stuff there, but if even half of it does, that'll be $32 well-spent for the registration fee.
