Well.

It's better. As I've said before, it's amazing how much sticking a clause in the middle of a sentence rather than at the end can rack up the tension in an entire scene.

The Hubby took me to Texas Roadhouse yesterday for a nummy steak dinner. They opened at four. We got there at four. And they had a 20-minute wait. Looks like lots of other people had the same notion we did--that going out to eat on Valentine's Day on a Saturday on a holiday weekend would be monumentally stupid, so let's do this a day early and beat the crowd. Yeah, it didn't work.

But I didn't gain any weight yesterday, so...WIN. Two more pounds and I'll look really good. Four more and I'll be hawt again. I'm sitting right at the goal (127), but the "goal" isn't quite the "ideal." Yeah, today's a salad day. Since I love my salads, this is not a hardship.

Today is kind of a lazy day, with some school for Da Boy. I think we're going to rent a couple of movies tonight, or see some that we already have. And, as an extra-special present to me, the Hubby is reading over the not!kkbb/im novelthing and scribbling notes all over it. Which makes me go "squee" and "eep!" all at the same time.

I've got the whole thing sitting here in front of me. Now it's just a matter of tweaking it into something awesome rather than merely good.
