Well, this is interesting.
I think I've finally figured out what this fic THING I'm writing is to me.
It's like an ugly, disreputable cat that shows up on your doorstep. You feed the damb thing because you can't stand to see it starve to death...and it slowly worms its way into your heart. It purrs at you a bit. Rubs on your ankles. Does that foot-knead-y thing that cats do. And before you know it, you've let it in the house and it's sleeping on your bed.
Yeah. I'm coming to terms with this. And maybe it doesn't suck as much as I'm afraid it does. I may even publish it, after I get a couple of people to look at it for me. Odd that my second ever Firefly fic is such a huge departure from my first one...
